UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) have a mission to encourage countries to sign the World Heritage Convention, to ensure protection of their natural and cultural heritage. Today, UNESCO preserves 1073 World Heritage sites in 167 countries.
In this writing moment, the national campaign is launched to support Djerba’s candidacy for UNESCO World Heritage status, and aims to preserve what makes the uniqueness of the island of Djerba, its old heritage, cultural richness, and its culture of communities peacefully coexisting on the Island, to name a few.
The national campaign is formed as an mini-documentary, highlighting the uniqueness of the Island.
