The sacred plant medicine Cacao

Cacao has been recognized as “Food of the Gods” in Central and South America since ancient times and the sacred plant is a pure source of healing for body, mind and soul.

Cacao was discovered thousands of years ago and has been a significant part of ancient rituals and ceremonies, considered a powerful plant medicine. The fruit is growing in tropical environments around the world and the cacao itself refers to the seed of the fruit–holding more than 50% healthy fat packed with essential nutrients. The ceremonial cacao is minimally processed and has not been defatted in order to sustain the original properties.

Mother Earth cacao origins from Guatemala where it’s grown and carefully prepared by Nana Marina Cruz and her family, residing at the holy lake Atitlán. She’s a known wisdom keeper and powerful ceremonial leader from the Mayan Tz’utujil Tribe.

The character of this cacao is deeply grounding and helps balance the lower chakras while opening the heart to joy and confidence. It’s packed with antioxidants (it even beats our superfood blueberry), vitamins and minerals.

Raw cacao is one of the highest plant-based sources of Magnesium and a powerful source of the mood regulating serotonin (and other proven bliss chemicals) which makes it a powerful remedy for body, mind and soul.
