Tea tree oil (melaleuca) is an essential oil from the native plant Melaleuca alternifolia. It has been used for almost 100 years as a healing treatment in Australia, and have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities, why the oil is probably best known for its antibacterial activity.
3 ways how to use Tea tree oil
Tea Tree Tonic water
Add 10-30 drops of Tea tree oil to 100 ml of distilled water and use with a pad after face cleansing, morning and evening.
Tea Tree Steam bath
It’s also beneficial to make a steam bath while having a cold, due to its antibacterial and antiviral benefits.
Tea Tree Universal spray
Add 10 drops of Tea tree oil to 100 ml of water and you have an effective Universal spray, for disinfection at home, or ideal for keeping training shoes to prevent and eliminate the smell.
Be careful when using tea tree oil around the eyes, and always test to make sure your skin doesn’t react. Exposure can cause redness and irritation. The oil should never be swallowed.
